Getting Started
PolkaPay makes it easy to accept cryptocurrency payments through shareable links. Here's how to get started:
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
Connect your Polkadot-compatible wallet (Polkadot.js, Talisman, SubWallet, etc.)
Step 2: Create Payment Link
Set up your payment details including amount, description, and recipient address
Step 3: Share & Receive
Share your payment link and start receiving payments instantly
Creating Payment Links
Payment links are the core feature of PolkaPay. They allow you to create shareable URLs that customers can use to send you payments.
Required Fields:
- Title: A descriptive name for your payment link
- Amount: The payment amount in DOT
- Description: Details about what the payment is for
- Recipient Address: Your Polkadot wallet address
Optional Settings:
- Custom Slug: Personalize your payment link URL
- Expiry Date: Set when the link should expire
- Success URL: Redirect customers after payment

Troubleshooting
Wallet Won't Connect
- Ensure your wallet extension is installed and unlocked
- Refresh the page and try again
- Check that you're on the correct network (Polkadot)
Transaction Failed
- Check that you have sufficient balance for network fees
- Verify the recipient address is correct
- Wait for network congestion to clear
Payment Link Not Working
- Check if the link has expired
- Verify the payment amount and recipient address
- Ensure the link hasn't been deactivated
